Step-by-Step Character Creation
Upload a Photo
Upload a clear photo of your child. This is required and helps create a more accurate character representation in the stories.
Basic Information
Enter your child's name, age, and gender. The age helps determine appropriate story content and complexity.
Appearance Details
Choose hair color, hair style, eye color, outfit, and favorite activity to personalize the character further.
Personality Quiz
Select from four personality types: Whimsical Dreamer, Cozy Homebody, Adventure Seeker, or Peaceful Soul. This influences the story style and mood.
Art Style
Choose an art style like Studio Ghibli, Watercolor, or Digital Art. The system will recommend styles based on your personality choice.
AI Generation
The system generates a custom character image using AI. This process takes a few minutes and you'll be redirected to a progress page.

Add your name (e.g., "Mom & Dad", "Grandma") - this will appear in the story as the author.
AI Story Generation
The system generates a custom story with 10+ scenes, each featuring your character in unique artwork. This process takes 20-30 minutes.
View & Download
Once complete, you can view your story online or download it as a PDF for printing and sharing.

🔒 Photo & Privacy
Q: Can I upload a photo that includes more than one person?
A: We can only create stories for one featured child per book. Please upload a single-person photo of your child with no other people visible.
Q: Will my child's real photo appear in the book?
A: Never — we create a stylized character inspired by their likeness. The child's real photo is not stored or used after the character creation request.
Q: Do you keep the photo after my order?
A: The uploaded photo is never stored; it is used as reference for part of the character image generation request then discarded.

How long does character generation take?
Character generation typically takes 2-5 minutes. You'll see a progress indicator and will be notified when it's complete.
How long does story generation take?
Story generation takes 20-30 minutes depending on the story length and complexity. You can check the progress in your stories page.
What photo formats are supported?
We support JPG, PNG, and WebP formats. Photos should be under 5MB and show your child's face clearly for best results. See detailed photo guidelines.
Can I edit my character after creation?
Yes! You can edit character details like name, appearance, and personality from the character detail page.
Can I regenerate a character's image?
Yes, you can regenerate the character image with a different art style from the character detail page.
6 Troubleshooting
Character generation failed
Try uploading a different photo with better lighting and clarity. Ensure the photo shows your child's face clearly and is under 5MB.
Story generation is taking too long
Story generation can take up to 30 minutes. If it's been longer, try refreshing the page or contact support if the issue persists.
I can't see my character in the story
This usually means the character generation didn't complete successfully. Try regenerating the character image or contact support.
PDF download not working
Ensure your story generation is complete first. PDF generation takes an additional 2-3 minutes after the story is finished.
